SEAN RENNER is a Los Angeles-based composer and recording artist whose sound worlds span modern orchestral, electronic production, and sound synthesis.

 

His credits include additional music composer and string arranger on the Rian Johnson-produced Netflix thriller "Fair Play", which premiered to critical acclaim at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and additional music composer and orchestrator on the Sky Television/Hulu series "Das Boot" (the successor to the iconic 1981 film), which won the 2022 Hollywood Music in Media Award for "Best Score for a Foreign TV Series".

 

His documentary credits include working as a music consultant on the Peabody Award-winning episode of PBS Frontline: "Michael Flynn's Holy War", and composing the score for the documentary feature "Upes Kelias (River Flow)", which follows a man's weeklong swim up the Neris River in Lithuania.

 

His credits also include composing and producing the scores for the feature films "Screwdriver" from Buffalo 8,  "Double Down" from Indie Rights, Violet Wave Productions' heartfelt 2021 drama "Spring", and the Podcast Academy Award-nominated audio fiction series "The Madness of Chartrulean". In 2019 he was nominated for a Jerry Goldsmith Award for the song "Underwater" which he performed and co-composed for the Austrian Academy Award-nominated feature film "The Tobacconist". ​

 

Sean Renner earned his MFA in music composition and performance at California Institute of the Arts and his BA in film production from Elon University. As a recording and touring artist he has performed over 130 shows across the US and Canada, and his music has been featured on networks including MTV and E!TV.
